Law Day began in 1958 and was officially recognized by President Eisenhower in 1961. It is observed nationally on May 1st of every year and thought the month of May. Law Day is an avenue for our country to acknowledge and celebrate the rule of law with an understanding of how the law and legal processes work to ensure our everyday liberties, uphold justice and freedoms for all Americans.
Join in as we read “Just Mercy” and talk about how the book speaks to us from a rule of law standpoint as individuals. Pick up your copy from your local library and we’ll see you on the 27th of May.
